greetings cards - amazing bargains in cardiff!

the clintons cards store in st davids arcade, cardiff are currently having a big clearance of old stock, ready for when they vacate the premises to enable to advancement of the st davids 2 redevelopment.

they are doing a 5 cards for £1 promo on select cards. the range predominently features birthday cards at the mo, although i understand they have boxes and boxes of stock to get through.

the cards are all in perfect condition, and all the type of thing they would charge around £1.50 for, so if you like to stock up then this is a real bargain

it's a bit far for me... but it sounds as though there are some great bargins.. as lets face it how many times have we forgotten someone's birthday.... this would be a great time to get stocked up....

also this is great for people that make their own cards as well.....as i used to buy cheap birthday cards...in muliples of at least 3 of each... then decoupage them.....

also are their little trinket nic nacs.. reduced.? as i find they are great for the kids when they are going to birthday parties.... and you need a cheap cute novelty pressie....

you're in swansea/llansamlet arent you? (im sure ive seen you mention tescos llansamlet, although i could be imagining things/confusing you with someone else :eek: ) its only an hour down the road, perhaps you could drag a friend and make a daytrip of it? us girlies, any excuse to shop

unfortunately, nothing else seems to be reduced, its just old card stock. they may have a small sale nearer the time of them relocating, but for the most part i think the stock will just be redistributed amongst other branches

forgot to mention that the 'what? everything' store on the hayes is having a closing down sale, with some items up to 50/75% off. however do beware, as i have notcied that some of the stuff is up to 1/3 more expensive in the hayes branch than it is in the newport road branch. ok, so on a £1 its only 30p, but i can see no real excuse for the higher prices

I popped into town yesterday with my friend from work. I got 10 lovely cards for £2, great for kids parties and section birthdays in work - cheers.

My friend also got her cards too and was very pleased
