3 poor network coverage cooling off period?
My OH has just taken out a 24 month iphone contract with 3, he has now discovered the poor coverage at home and out and about.
He has used the phone to connect to our wi-fi and text and call me so isnt sure how he can go about getting a refund, but the phone is not fit for purpose.
Wish we had come on here and read the posts first, he is kicking himself as a loyal O2 customer for years!
Any advice on how he can go about cancelling as it is no good?

give them a ring on 333 ,i spoke to someone about recepion at home and was phoned back by someone from their escalation level 2 team. i was able to quote exact reception figures with my htc desire and then was offered the chance to terminate my contract and return my phone .
my reception at home is not good but i could not bear to part with my phone.

Need to check first is it happening in one specific location or is it everywhere, if its everywhere its highly likely the phone has a fault or the sim card is faulty rather than network performance0

Distance selling regs do not apply unless the phone was bought online or over the phone. If purchased in store there is no automatic right to a cooling off period.
It all depends what was said-if he said 'will the phone work at abc postcode?' and they said 'yes', then there is a case for mis-selling. But it sounds like he didn't ask.
No network guarantees 100% coverage. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Did he buy online or in store?
My gf took out an iphone 3 contract a few weeks back and the shop assistant advised us that if she wasn't happy with the signal, she could return the phone and they'd cancel the contract with no questions asked as long as if she did so within 14 days.0
