Hi
I am currently on maternity leave but wish to remain a full time mummy. I'm currently claiming working tax credits - i'm sure this will stop once i hand my notice in.
Does anyone know is there anything else i can claim?
Thanks
Faye

We need a little more information.
Do you have a partner? Do you live with this partner? Do they work? Do you have savings? Do you rent or have a mortgage? Have you been claiming SMP or a maternity package from your employer?0 -

Ok. How much does your partner earn? How many hours does he work?
Atleast you won't have to pay any of the SMP back.0 -
If you're currently recieving WTC you should get it providing your partner is worker 16 or more hours.
What is his salary as you could be eligible for other benefits?0 -
Well he is self employed and as he broke his neck last year only earned 9000 after tax but usually it can be between 15000 and 20000 depending on how much work comes in. (Thanks everyone)0

Right, so you will already be receiving CTC and CB. If you jointly earn less than £17kish, you may still be entitled to WTC.
You may be entitled to a small amount of HB and CTB, but this is dependent on earnings. You would have to submit an application and they would assess it.0 -
Brill thank you although i'm not receiving CTC so I shall look into that and will also enquire about HB.
Thanks again
