Insurance quote cancellation?

I have decided not to go with a certain car insurance provider. They have emailed me my quote, and it's valid for 40 days.
After 40 days, do they chase a payment, or something like that? I haven't paid it though.

If you just got a quote then you are not obliged to take the insurance, so you don't need to do anything.
If you accepted their quote and took the insurance (this generally means paying or giving DD details) then you had better cancel and there may be fees.0
