How do I fit a door seal on washing machine?

Hi,
Decided to change door seal on my washing machine, bought one for my machine, told Husband to change it, he took old one out, not taking note how it went in!!:mad: and now can't fit the new one.:eek: Can anyone help??? Please!!!
