Excel 2007.
Change chart type.
Templates.
My templates.
Shows any crtx files in the templates/charts directory.
These show up as icons in the dialogue. Hovering over them shows the name.
Problem is that all the icons look similar.
Is there any way of editing the icons or making the names show?
I got as far as discovering that the template files are actually zip files, so I unzipped them and found that the icon is a bmp in there. I tried editing it and rezipping it, but Excel no longer recognised it.
So, if I create tens of templates I'm going to have to use trial and error to find the template I want, or just paste the one I want into the relevant directory. Or not bother.

If you unzip the crtx file and rezip it without making any changes Excel doesn't then recognise it - must be a particular form of zip encoding needed to create a genuine crtx file.0
