Saga's hollow home insurance promise

Saga currently offer a price guarantee on their house and contents insurance quotation. Last year I used confused.com and Saga accepted the £100 lower premium quote.
Not this year, however. They would not accept a quote obtained via the internet (!) and unless the wording was identical I was told the guarantee would not apply. Be warned. I was offered greater cover, for over £100 less using confused.com, so Saga lost my custom.
What a shabby 'guarantee' from a company that targets the elderly.
