Question - How many tomatoes do we harvest each year?

No, I went to Sainsbury's last night but couldn't see the tins to look for the answer
Has anyone else been able to find it and get an answer yet?

It say's on the website to guess how many were harvested last month, and a clue can be found on the back of the red supermarket boxes. All the pictures of pizzas on the website are in blue boxes.

EDIT: but the American Hot pizza is written in red writing, doubt that's the same thing though

It's the new tins of their passata tomato sauce that they say the answer is on the back of. There's a pic of one on the comp website page, cream label by looks of it.. Anyone any luck yet?

FROM WEBSITE - "For the first time, we will be putting some of this year's precious harvest into smaller tins for you to cook with at home. Look out for our passata in supermarkets from September. "
I think maybe the Sainsbury's I was in hasn't got it stocked yet...

Although I wouldn't mind having to eat my way through a few of their pizza's to find out... yum yum!! :rotfl:

Checked in Waitrose, they didn't have any Pizza Express passata, and the answer wasn't on any of the pizzas or dough balls - but I bought some anyway!

I have checked in a GIANT Waitrose near my work, and a MASSIVE Sainsbury's and they don't sell the passata sauce yet. And the pizza boxes shed no light either.

Have you noticed that the competition page asks you to say how many tomatoes were harvested per MONTH and then how many per YEAR? Which is it? I think it's a mistake...

So the answer for the month and year is the same - if only we knew what it was!
