that will be sufficient for your needs.
always worth haggling with the sales guy/manager of the department to see if they will knock some extra money off, maybe if you purchase a printer or something.
worked for me.Certified Resident Wanty Stalker #001

once you've used a 19", you'd never want a 15" again.
Seems a bit mismatched, (presumably to keep the price down), 256MB graphics card and a piddly screen.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

True, my laptop has got a 17" screen and I dont think I could go down to a smaller size but I guess it depends on what everyone can afford.Certified Resident Wanty Stalker #001

I was looking for a machine for a guy at work 2 days ago and spotted a similar Dell with:
Dell Dimension C521
Athlon 64 3200+ (Sempron 3400 is around £10 cheaper but this is worth it!)
512MB / 160GB / DVDRW
15” TFT (+£20 for 17”)
Onboard Nvidia graphics
Loadsa USB / Ethernet / etc.
I think the price was around £340 for the basic system but spend another £30 and get the athlon and the bigger screen.
Hope that helpsSpace for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
Compare with Dell prices here:

You can get a 3GHz P4 with 128Mb graphics card, but double the disk size and a 17inch monitor for £449 (less 4.5% from Quidco).

Its express x200 onboard graphics. It will run the sims, but that is about it for games. The memory is probably shared with your system memory.
It really depends what your old machine was to say if this is worth updating to. This has the components of a 4 year old pc.0
