Just starting up an evening course and so need a nice little printer for my essays. I'm going to be printing primarily in black/greyscale and did a search for a few different printers before deciding on this one:

£44.97 HP Deskjet F4580 Wireless Multi-Functional All in One Inkjet Printer Scanner Copier (includes both a colour and a black cartridge)
£11.95 Extra 1 x HP 300 black ink

Total before discounts: £56.92

Discounts
- £5 on selected HP inks when bought with selected HP printers for this order
- £10 off when you spend over £50 or more on Tesco Direct. Separate code for 500 extra points
- 3% on TCB

making 41.92 before TCB or £40.67 after
I've selected collection from a store or you can get it delivered for £5.

FYI, some pretty good reviews on amazon here ...and they are selling it for £43.60 without the extra cartridge

For future reference can anyone recommend a good alternative to a HP 300 black cartridge? I'm new to the inkjet game :)

i use 7dayshop.com and they are pretty good
  • thanks op just ordered
  • I use Play.Com for my HP 300 Ink. I usually pay £7.99 for the black ink on play.com compared to PC Worlds £12.99+

    Play.com currently have a combo 1 x HP 300 Black Ink Cartridge/200 pages 1 x HP 300 Tri-colour Ink Cartridge/165 pages for £15.49 which is an amazing price.

Don't forget cash back sites, and more importantly don't throw your empty cartridges, my last 2 sold for £7.00+ each on ebay.

I personally don't like to use compatibles but thats only because l had bad luck with them in the past. For everyday printing l use 'draft copy'

Pic is for my records if tesco try to stiff me for extra points so i thought i'd post it
  • Can I just check please?

Did you get the 500 points AND £10 off on the printer deal? Was there a code needed for this or should it have deducted automatically? Our charge was £51.92
  • I deducted 3% quidco from my final total but when the tracking came thru today they gave me £1.75 from a £56.81 spend.

If you click the ink link :o it says 500 extra points when you buy 2 selected inks and £5 off when bought with a printer.

Add the 2 inks and the printer to your basket then go thru the ordering process select home delivery and add the £10 off code then go up to confirm payment point you should get a order summary showing what your order costs and what points your getting.
  • Been after a wireless printer for a while - this looks like a great bargain. Thanks for sharing!

thanks people just ordered printer and 2 cartridges
  • Thanks for this. I really need to buy a wireless printer and was considering getting it. I think the ink is maybe a little expensive for me though. I'm used to getting the non branded inks that are only a few pounds, but when I had a quick search of the usual places they didn't seem to offer this one. Has anyone else managed to find some less expensive ink for it? Thanks.
