Hi -- I was about to do this also.
On the BBC they mention a different address though, perhaps for the southerners.(?)

Cross your name and address out, and put on return to sender then pop it in your local post box. They soon stop sending you junk as they have to pay for it to be delivered back to them, and it isnt cheap. Very rarely get junk mail now.0

It is illegal for a company to send unsolicited mail or to make unsolicited phone calls to any address that is registered with the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) or the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).
(EEC Directive - Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations - Dec 2003).
You can register on-line with the MPS and the TPS in about 2 minutes.
After a month your junk mail and calls will dry up... No more double glazing salesmen no more credit card offers...:T
To stop all unsolicited addressed Mail, go to :-
http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/
To stop all unsolicited Telephone calls (Mobiles too), go to:-
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/
If you still get any junk from anyone after this, they are breaking the law. The MPS and the TPS have a simple on-line complaints form for you to fill in. The company sending the junk can then be prosecuted.
If only someone could do this with Email...:mad:0 -
