Ibiza - on the cheap???

Just booked a last minute holiday to Ibiza and I know it's going to be expensive with drinks at 10euros+ in a lot of places and up to 50euros to get in the big clubs but I'm sure there'll be some bars and restaurants etc that will be affordable. I've never been before so if anyone can recommend any money saving tips or bars that won't charge me stupid prices then that would be great! I'll be in San Antonio Bay.

In SanAntonio bay a couple of weeks ago and in the evenings drinks were 2 for 5 Euros at most bars, You could also get free shots etc with them. I do not know the price of clubbing, I haven't been for about 30 years!0

I went to Ibiza in June, and actually came back with money!! I was in San An, and stayed in the San Remo complex. Along that strip there are some really cheap bars. One is bucanero's, with amazing people and a club like atmosphere. They do quite a few pre club parties in there with famous DJs / acts in there. Drinks are 5 euros, of which are in pints ( and the spirit measures are out of this world!!! ) You get free shots too. It was a really popular place. Watch out for people scouting the beaches too, they will hand out free wristbands for club nights - mainly quieter nights however it will give you a good experience of a club night. I'm 23 and didn't go to one super club, can you believe and I had the most amazing time with fantastic people for real dirt cheap! It can be done

It's been a few years since I was there but entrance to the nightclubs is around £50 like you say. Most of the nightclubs are no where near the West End and you have to be bussed out to them, the only ones central to the West End from memory are Eden and Es Paradis.
If you want to go to a night with big name DJ's then you are going to have to pay through the nose for it. On regular nights though entrance is cheaper and if you are hanging around the bars in the West End after Midnight/1AM then you can often get free tickets if the club aint full. The clubs send out reps to give free tickets away as they don't want the punters who paid to have a bad time in a half empty club, and they will make money from the drinks you buy anyway.0 -
Some of the best nights we had were sitting on sunset strip with drinks from the off licence! amazing sunsets, music, performers and atmosphere all for a few quid! Bora bora beach on the other side of the island is great for this too.
Again you rarely need to pay big except for the major end of season nights or birthday specials. Ibiza town is a must too- just go where the spanish do0 -
Thanks guys, will have to let you know how I get on. Will be keeping an eye out for any free passes to the clubs. It seems that as long as you avoid the bigger/pretentious places that the drinks prices are usual Spain prices. Looking forward to a pint of sprirt and mixer!0

There are plenty of bars that will charge more normal prices for drinks.
Watch Kevin and Perry Go Large before you go to get in the mood, lol
Remember your travel insurance! There have been far too many stories this year of people not having any!.....0 -
next time save up alot so you can properly enjoy ibiza. i find it hard for anyone to do it on the very cheap and if they are they are just staying in the horrible west end part in crappy bars.
depends what your into, try take a boat trip out to formentera, if you love partying and like dc10 and the clubs then you need alot of money to really enjoy yourself to the full, if your not that bothered then you can budget i suppose if it doesnt bother you, ie, buy alcohol / food from stores before you go out..go to cafe del mar chill on the beach etc . mixer drinks are around 22euros now and a v.small bottle water is 10euro in clubs
if you go earlier on to a club then the prices are much cheaper eg, 10pm as past 1am when its the usual time to go to a club it gets more expensive
would stay in playa den bossa end personally for space and bora bora tho bora bora is rough at night now.
most people of my age in twenties and thirties who are into serious ibiza take around a grand for a week, so they can fully enjoy all the big clubs, ibiza town, travelling and beautifull restaurants but it is all about what your into and what you can afford
how much are you taking and for how long you going for?0
