During the week I bought doors from B & Q they have a price for single doors in their brochure and then a price if you buy more than 5 doors. I was buying more than 5 doors , and went by this price. They also had a promotion on saying 20% off ALL doors, and a large sign in the door department saying the same.
when i was ordereing the doors the sales person said there would be no extra 20% off as i had already got the doors at the discounted price for buying more than 5 ( think this was also 20% off). I thought this was misleading as it did not state any small print in the sign. He checked with a passing employee and they agreed with him. I paid the amount for the doors but i am not happy. who do i contact to clarify this. would like to speak to the store first before involving trading standards.

There may have been T&Cs on the 20% off offer - something along the line of "not to be used in conjuction with any other offer / discounts" which they obviously count the bulk buy discount as one of.
Go in and ask to talk to the department / store manager to seek clarification on where the T&Cs were but to be honest you offered them money for the doors and they accepted your offer so from a legal stand point there is not much you can do about it now really.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Agree with sc. There is always a codicil about not using with other discounts.Herman - MP for all!

I'd go back in and be nice about it! they'd be far more likely to play ball.
Not much to lose and can get you another 20% off if you can win the manager over.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Rang them up today and asked them to clarify the position regarding the sign for 20% off all doors which I didnt get. They took my num ber and rang me back offereing me a refund of the further 20% as "A GESTURE OF GOODWILL"somethingcorporate wrote: »There may have been T&Cs on the 20% off offer - something along the line of "not to be used in conjuction with any other offer / discounts" which they obviously count the bulk buy discount as one of.
