B&Q sell off the shelf standard size doors. MFI don't encourage but will sell doors if you can find a salesperson bothered to give you a couple of breakdown part numbers. Once you get a couple of numbers they just change up or down a digit with door width.Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j
Mortgages make money. Definitely don't wanabee mortgage free!0 -
Hi,
I was going to paint my kitchen unit doors etc as all the doors appear to be non standard.
I have now decided to to purchase replacement doors.
I live in the north east and yesterday had someone out to give me a quote for replacing the doors.
cost was £570 5 drawer front and 16 doors one of which is for a larder unit. plus £145 fitting including new plinths.
I have decided to have them fit in 3 weeks time.
When the work is done I will let you know what they are like.0 -
Try :-

I got some made to measure doors from the discountkitchenfactory for a bathroom cabinet and had a full kitchen from diy-kitchens. Doors are all priced on-line and quality is good from both.0 -
Not a recommendation I'm afraid, but my friend had Kitchen Magic to do hers and is very unhappy. They probably vary from area to area but she is in W Sussex and they were unreliable with turning up and materials being brought, and the fitting was of a poor standard.0

I'd also like to replace the doors, I inherited oak units and I want to turn it white to brighten up the kitchen. So what happens with the end units, you need to replace the carcasse as well?
Rolo - let us know how you like them!
