God if this goes through I'll be well chuffed - mind you don't know about 'Wor Lass' - the earlier reference to The Posi....... is right, she's got a right complex about travelling by ship since she saw that film and she's out at the mo' so I'll have to break it to her gently.

Previously been on a DFDS cruise to Esbjerg 20 odd years ago (now I feel old!!) - it was a special advertised on a local radio station - went in March and there was only 30 people on the whole ship!!!! (Think it was the first sailing of the season).

We basically had the run of the ship - the cinema was showing some good films and we sat through a couple all on our own. The barman was new and just learning how to mix cocktails so we got to try them for free to check how he was doing!!

Only got a couple of hours in Esbjerg but the whole trip was a hoot.

Bit different this time with the kids I suppose but it'll be a step up for them from the Putt Putts we hired in the Lakes this summer!!

May be wrong - but I read the booking confirmation to read that you have a cabin overnight whilst the ship is docked in bergen - ie 1 night sailing there, 1 night in the port, 1 night sailing back = 3 nights on the ship.

Booked for the 13th Feb !! Noubt better to do on Valentines Day having seperated last year, lol !!

Any free and single males going ? ( Er... will have 2 kids with me.... and possibly parents, though they don't know yet, they're off on their hols somewhere ! I'll break the news when they get back )

Cancellations will be charged as follows:
56 days or more before departure : 15% of total fare
30 - 55 days before departure : 25% of total fare
14 - 29 days before departure : 50% of total fare
7 - 13 days before departure : 75% of total fare
6 days or less before departure : 100% of total fare

I guess that's a percentage of £0.00 then ?

Sorry but can someone clarify for me also that on the return journey the ship reaches Newcastle at 7pm. I hate all these holiday confirmation things, they always confuse me (and I'm on a travel and tourism course ).
