  • Boo! Have you missed me? We've been on holiday this last 2 weeks to Tunisia and it's my first day back at work - boo hiss! Haven't a cat in hells chance of catching up so hugs, commiserations, congratulations etc to all that need them. House is a mess as DD1 and DD2 don't seem to like doing housework (as if I do!) and I have a huge washing pile and it's throwing it down. Oh well it'll get done sometime and I don't suppose I'll be needing my bikini! Will try and look back over the thread when I get a minute. If I've missed anything important can someone fill me in please x

pigpen - thank you. I really really wish you did hugs - I would send you the biggest one I could find.

    ;);););)

Just to really depress you.. I am christmas shopping!!

I have spent so many days being miserable about stuff I hadn't done the day before I got nothing done that day too.. looking at every day like a new opportunity to get stuff done is the only way to make a difference.

    Morning all

Done all the horrid jobs for the day - floor mopping and WM filter cleaning. Just waiting for the floor to dry

Good to hear... I can't remember how long it is since I joined, although I vaguely remember doing another questionnaire either at the end of last year or beginning of this...

I'm the same, did bloods yonks ago and I've done at least a second if not third questionnaire at some point. PenPen do they write to you to ask for a second set of bloods after 5 years then?

Crafty - hugs. Don't try to judge every day by what you achieve, a bit like vitamins it's not what you have each day but how it balances out over the week which is more important.

Few jobs on here and then off to sort my wardrobe inside, and on top as that is where the 'stash' will be kept in December.

  • Morning Everyone!

I am in this week, but might not be able to post or read fred, so hugs, shrugs & yippee!s to all that need them or want them...

Lots of changes about to happen in Notso-land.

Looks like DS1 has definite Aspergers traits. GP is happy to refer him, I need to contact the school to talk to SEN. I've explained to DS1 that his scientific brain is extra scientific, which means the emotional side of his brain doesn't get much of a look-in. He thinks that's quite cool and now wants to re-programme his brain to help his emotional side out. ;)

It may be that just telling him this will mean his life is a little less stressed emotionally....just have to wait & see.

:( Meanwhile, DS2 is extremely unhappy at school, having been almost systematically isolated by his whole year, over the course of the last 18 months or so, just for being best friends with 1 boy who a certain 'cool group' didn't like and so bullied him to the point he had a breakdown. His parents quite rightly removed him last November & now home educate him so he's doing well, thankfully, but it left DS2 on his own, in a hostile environment. How badly it has affected DS2 has only just come to light, when he came out of school 3 days before the end of the summer term absolutely distraught, saying he couldn't take anymore.

I'm really not sure why we sent him back last week. I think it was just to see if a new year would make any difference. It hasn't. Watching him go in today was heart-breaking :(. We have another meeting with the school on Friday, but I honestly think it's a waste of time. They can't make the other kids like him, they just ignore him, simply because that's what they have been doing for over a year.

So, we've discussed it, and we are going to pull him out & give him a break, then home educate him. Stuff 'em!

DS3 is quite happy with school, well, with break & lunch time, so he can play football . He's bored in his lessons and I can see him asking to be home educated by Christmas....

    Meanwhile, flying...
