Car with a dent

Me and my are pretty strapped as shes disabled and me her carer so car we're looking at getting (an estate for wheelchair and extra room) has a dent in the side view door. Any car knowledgable people tell me whther this would affect MOT chances? It doesn't bother me being dented just if I have get it fixed for lots of money.

    No it will not affect the MOT as long as there are no sharp bits protruding. I would set aside £100-£150 to get it fixed and painted. You might be lucky and they might beable to fix it without painting!
  • didn't sell by the look of it...if you go after it get someone the check the door pillar hasn't been damaged as that could be a lot more serious than a cosmetic dent

    It doesn't look to have effected the B post, personally I wouldn't bother paying out for repairs to that but no it won't effect the MOT
  • It would not effect the MOT and to be honest it isn't worth repairing it.
    To get it done properly would cost just as much as you are paying for the car.
    If you can live with the dent then go for it. :beer:
