Halfiax Ultimate Reward Account

I just wondering if anyone could help me, I have an ultimate reward account and we're due to go on holiday in four weeks.
I'm not sure if I have made this up but I'm sure I read something that said if I use my card abroad they will reimburse my fees when I return.
Is this right or have I made this up? I can't find anything on the website.
Thanks

They charge for overseas card use and don't reimburse the fees.
They do now have the Halifax Clarity Reward Credit Card which doesn't charge overseas fees (although it will charge interest on cash withdrawals). It will also pay you £5 a month if you spend £300 on it.0 -
The Halifax debit cards are particularly heavy on foreign use charges.
BUYING GOODS AND SERVICES IN A FOREIGN CURRENCY
When you use your debit card abroad to pay for goods and services, or to withdraw cash at cash machines, the exchange rate we use will be the Visa Reference Exchange Rate. We will charge a conversion fee of 2.75% of the amount of the transaction and a fee of £1.50 for each payment.
Try and get a Halifax Clarity Reward Credit Card if you can.0 -
I'm sure it was something they posted to me with terms and conditions but threw it away like a ***, ok thanks0

There was a thing whereby SOME customers were sent a letter saying that they would be reimbursed fees occurred overseas during a certain period, cant remember exactly what it was. They would then be refunded on a certain date, it didn't apply to everyone, only those who got the mailing.100% G33K

Wasn't that people who were stranded abroad? During the ash cloud situation? I think so, anyway.
OP, think you'll be charged, sorry. Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0 -
No, there was a mailing sent out to some ordinary customers a month or two ago stating that they will get any overseas transaction charges reimbursed during a certain period.100% G33K
