yes you need a better virus scanner
http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arm_sup_____.dir/avgremover.exe

HI sorry to jump in on this thread but I got a Virus yesterday that took me 3 hrs to remove (security tool) I am now checking my security measures are ok I have got Superantispyware, Malwarebytes anti malware and AVG free.
Are those 3 suitable for my needs - should i add to them or replace any with other free programmes.
I am not an advanced computer user so they need to be easy to operate.
Thanks for your help - Oh btw I also have Glary Utilities on my computer which I run regularly - is that worth keeping and still using or should I replace or not bother with at all.
Thankyou0 -
superantispyware and avg failed to protect you, so ditch them and try avast5 free. Keep malwarebytes, but always update it before doing a full scan. And backup to external disk and or DVD's!!

Did you remove all those malwarebytes entries?
Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive):idea:0 -
