Do the AA issue AAA cards?

For the occasions in the USA when a AAA card is actually required. A quick search reveals the AA did in the past... anyone know if they still do this for customers?

Last time I requested one ( a year ago) the AA told me that don't do them any more, saying that my AA card would be accepted in the USA. I found that to be true, and had some decent discounts, the best being 50% off tickets for Six Flags Magic mountain - which saved me over $100 for the family.0
