Hi - off to isle of wight this week with a 4 year old and a 2 year old.
Was going to go to one of the theme parks either Robin Hill or Blackgang Chime.
Some very mixed reviews on travel advisor so was wondering if anyone with local knowledge could advise on which was the best bet.
Many thanks

Blackgang Chine is the oldest site and a little run down. It's built on a cliff and you have to huff and puff up and down the side of the chine - something to bear in mind if you have a buggy. That said it is the more suitable for younger kids with the fairytale and dinosaur displays. The food at BGC is very greasy spoon and not very good quality at that, so maybe take a picnic.
Robin Hill is the newer site tha BGC acquired for the inevitable time when BGC falls into the sea. It's much more open parkland and more geared to those with older kids than yours. We visited Robin Hill when our two DD's were 4 & 2 and we did have a good time. They really liked the tobaggan run which cost around £1.50. You sit on the toboggan with a child and zoom down with them. I think we blew about £20 on there! The man without a signature.0 -
Robin Hill is closed until the 18th September due to the Bestival that has been taking place there this weekend. We have 2 kids who love Blackgang Chine. It is a bit run down in places but they don't seem to notice, and alway have a good day.
Enjoy your trip, the weather has been great down here today!0 -
There nothing left of black-gang chine any more, but they have moved the amusements up a bit.0
