Bought branded skirt online for £25. Label says £22

I was just wondering if this is legal? I could have gone straight to the brand's shop and saved £3

    You could, but you didn't.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • The reason I didn't was because I had no idea that it was only £22. I am suprised it is legal though as I though the label as opposed to the RRP was what determined price and they couldn't charge more

I trust you don't know what RRP stands for? Recommended Retail Price - the clue is in the name.

Welcome to MSE - always do your research before buying! ;)

  • Yes I do know what RRP stands for. I meant that unlike the RRP, I thought a labelled price carried more weight

Nope even if you bought this in a shop and it was labelled £22 they could still charge £25 as all a price is an invitation to buy. As others said the clue is in the word Recommended.
  • Send a polite Email to Customer Services, explain, and they may well refund the £3 as a gesture of goodwill :)
  • Thing is you were happy to pay £25. why the fuss now?
