BLOODY USELESS STUDENT FINANCE - Proving single status

I'm really struggling to prove my mother's single status. I keep on sending forms (i phone up student finance before i send them and they say it's ok).

My mother is on a low income. It's under £9000 a year. There's no way she'd be able to support me at university. She does not and cannot recieve a 25% discount though because both my brother and sister are 18. They said I need to get an affidavit form so that my mother can prove her single status.

I've sent off my mother's child tax credit and tax credit form, which they said to me would be ok to prove single status, but turned round to me today and said it isn't good enough! It's like talking to 3 different people!!!

I've no idea. I'm just confused. Student Finance are as useful as talking to a bag of potatoes. There's no way I can survive on a £1,174.47 loan! PLEASE HELP frown.gif

Correction: Sorry this is for the first term. In total my loan is £3,559
