Yet ANOTHER problem.

Now that my computer seems to be running/booting up OK, (Many, MANY thanks for that) should I re-run Combofix in the same way but NOT in safe mode?
If I do, it will still come up and tell me that Asquared is running but I don't know what to look for in Task manager/Processes or in Sys config/Services (Only Avast x3 instances + Windows defender showing there as well as Microsoft progs) and Ccleaner & Revo cant see it, either."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
So are you still having problems - I don't recommend running Combofix if there are no issues.0

Well I managed to connect to the site that I wasn't able to and boot up time seems good.
So far it hasn't 'Hung' so everything appears fine now.
Leave well alone, perhaps?"Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
I would, especially if things appear to be all well.0

Id personally recommend you re follow the combofix instructions in normal boot mode:idea:0

How can I get rid of Asquared?
Combofix will be better running without that and I would be happier if it wasn't in the background."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
Goto services and disable it?:idea:0
-
The only entries ticked in services (Run/Msconfig/Services) are 3x AVAST and 1x Defender.
Also not listed in Start -> Settings -> control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
In the registry there is an entry (Folder) for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Emsi Software GmbH.
How can I get rid of this?
Would I be better off re-installing Asquared and then deleting it using Revo in the hope that it will then remove all entries connected to Asquared?"Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
Well THAT didn't work.
Installed and then deleted, I mean.
Anyone got ANY ideas?"Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
REGCLEANER 4.3
http://majorgeeks.com/download460.html
Run as administrator (right click before opening)
Now be careful. this program will remove anything you tick and remove. Be SURE you want it gone before doing so
So find anything asquared related and remove it (After uninstalling, though I assume you already have)
Then open malwarebytes, goto MORE TOOLS then RUN TOOL and remove any folders relating to asaquared in program files:idea:0
