upkeep of uniform?

hey, i work as a doorman and last nite my boss was saying to me that there may be something im entitled to for the upkeep of uniform, he says he believed it was £150 per year,
have any of you's heard about this?

Though you need to wash your uniform at home, you don't get it if you leave your uniform at work and get it back clean.

If it's the £3 per week that you can claim back from Inland Revenue - it is backdatable for 6 years as well.....still have to get mine in for 'working from home'.....0

wow... I have never heard of this!?!? Does this mean I can contact my tax office and claim money back for the past 6 years of clothes washing, even though I do not work at the moment???? (sorry to hijack thread op!)
Was a uniform, I washed it myself and would have 4 years of this! So would they backdate it and give me a lump sum?0 -
