Hiya guys needing security for a mate's laptop which has none!

Anyone know if this is the correct link for avg?

Your link points to the archive page, go here http://free.avg.com/us-en/download.prd-afg, down on the bottom of left hand panel is link to download from AVG directly it points to here http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-file-stb-afg-free
this is the starter program for the download, alternatively the cnet link on the panel does the same thing.

Yep, any of the above three. AVG is a bloated mess nowadays, avoid it.

I wouldn't mind so much its bloatedness if it was actually effective at keeping viruses off a system... sadly many experiences even on this forum alone of that not being the case :cool:
