hi
i sold a set of trims on ebay and buyer has emailed me saying thye're not as described as are all badly marked and beyond use.
this is not true. i did state in the listing that it is a used set with odd marks and detailed one being bad with a lot of marks.
so where do i stand with this? will i lose if it goes to paypal dispute? what are my options??
cheers

You should ask the buyer to return them to you. If they are sent back and are as they describe, refund them in full including their returns postage. If they are as you described and not as per the complaint, return in full and resell.
If it goes to dispute, they will be asked to return for a full refund and ebay will note the dispute on your account.0 -

also how do i go about getting my fees back as the option raise a dispute is not available??

Ebay fees can be reclaimed using a mutual request. this involves your buyer co-operating with the process which is a good reason for keeping them happy and on side.0 -
why dose paypal take the buyers side? the sellers make the money from their fees.0

They don't in my opinion, I once bought some 'brand new' bottles from Ebay and when they arrived they were filthy, with traces of milk in them. (i was getting them as they were better for breast fed babies and wanted them as a back up) I wouldn't of let a dog use them! Paypal would refund the price i paid but not the postage. I was disgusted. cost me more to have them sent, and send back than it did for the bottles so i was out of pocket.
As a seller also i agree with not having postage refunded if it's a choice of buyer but when the item is described incorrectly i think the seller should pay the postage?was Proud to be dealing with debt!
