OU Student + NUS Card - Help!

Hey,

I'm starting study with OU this month am am trying to apply for the NUS extra card (as reccomended by OU!), but I'm unsure of what dates and course details I'm supposed to put in the Education Details section - and suprisingly, neither NUS nor OU have any details in their help sections on how OU students are supposed to fill in the form...

Overall, I'm working towards the BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care, but this obviously is made up of many little courses along the way... So do I have to put down that I'm doing the degree, or do I put down "other" as essentially their just courses? And in regards to the dates, do I put the end date of the single course I'm doing, or the anticipated end date of the entire degree?? If the latter is the case, I'm unsure how your supposed to know the answer as it's home learning, so it could vary dramatically!

Hope someone can help!

Hi,

Unfortunalty NUS is geared more towards FT learners than us!

You should-
-Put the BSc as your course.
-Put a date of 3 years from your start year fr the end year, as it is the WHOLE degree.

The date is strictly for research only, it has no bearing on your card. Each application for your card is individual.

Hi Kizzers, Thanks for the reply! I was getting a bit confused with it all thinking that they would put it on the card or something! In that case, I will go and get one ordered now! Just hope that it's worth it! Thanks so much x

Oh no its not mentioned on the card! All that is, is your name, lovley photo, and the expiry date (Aug 11).

Thats it! It is worth it, like at the moment Waterstones are giving 10% off aswell!
