hiya,

i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the peugeot offer?
any stories anyone can share?

http://www.peugeot.co.uk/showroom/latest-offers/just-add-fuel

does anyone know if theres a deposit or any catches?
i was suggesting the scheme to a friend of mine who does a lot of miles and a all in one package like this would really suit,

thanks in advance for any advice,

ETA: also wondering do you have to pass credit checks etc to get onto the scheme?

Yes there will be some kind of deposit to get onto the scheme and of course there will be a credit check as you will be leasing the vehicle. According to the small print for a 107 the deposit is £1072

Now this will not be any good to someone doing a lot of miles as the 107 is a city car not suited to lots of miles plus there will also be mileage limits so if you go over the agreed mileage when you hand it back you will have to pay an excess mileage charge.

Annual mileage is a paltry 6667!

I know a lot of folks who that would suit just fine.

You will be able to adjust the mileage you do and adjust the payments accordingly.

And let me take a guess, they'll go over the car with a fine tooth comb afterwards, find scratches and take your deposit off you.

Not good if you live next door to the folks on here who think it's ok for kids to damage cars........

Couldn't that be said of all PCP schemes though?
This Peugeot deal irritates me. Its clearly for the kind of people who don't understand cars, the maintenance that goes with them, and things that commonly break on cars etc etc, and thus buy peugeots because they're the prettiest (in their opinion). :p

    Why does that irritate you?

They've identified their target market and are aiming at them?

But I do know that second hand car sales fuel new car sales and what better/cheaper way to get second hand cars than to lease out new ones?

I don't think such people should be allowed cars. :p
