Norton Symantec Antivirus

I need to renew my subscription with Symantec and get a window coming up every few seconds saying the virus protection is out of date.
I have tried un ticking the miscellaneous box in the software and restarting but
still the box comes up.Can I go into Tools and Internet options to remove?

How can I get rid of it please? Also I have just downloaded the AVG free antivirus software...Will this give me the performance to get rid of Symantec?

You must not run two anti-virus programs at the same time. If you are not going to renew your Norton subscription, you need to uninstall it first, including the Live Subscribe function.

So have you tried to uninstall Norton Anti-virus and Live Subscribe using Add/Remove? If you can't completely remove Norton yourself, you should find a removal tool on their website, depending on exactly which version you have.

Yes I managed to remove the Norton Internet Security and am using AVG
