Hi Mirtos, I'm fairly new here and have seen how vicious some posts have been lately. It is a crying shame really because this is one place where people with serious problems can come and get it off their chests, especially the more vulnerable people who probably have nowhere else to turn and need their confidence building to start tackling their problems.
All it takes is one bad or judgemental post and that's it everyone else's hard work undone or worse the OP does not post again and ends up in even deeper trouble with worsening consequences for them.
Yes I get your point - not too bad a waffle either!!!!!

  • It does tend to be only a couple of posters though - and it's always the same people! Personally I would just ignore them and focus on the good advice although I know it's hard sometimes.

constructive criticism can be useful too

Just ignore the nasty comments, I don't post that often on this board (not in debt, but want to make sure it stays that way so like to pick up any helpful tips and also help out when I can).

I think somebody called me an idiot on here the other day, or something similar (for showing support for somebody else), I just chuckled inside and ignored the post.

I think that's the only way (the ignore method) to maintain your dignity whilst still enjoying the boards!

Maybe we should have a "Sin Bin" - a list of peoples names that you get added to if more than x amount of ppl complain about you, then your name stays on there for a set period of time- a week, a month, whatever, so everyone can see you're a troll and avoid you. It'd be a lot of work for the mods though!

Wasn't there a sin bin before that was removed?

I remember it being mentioned on some threads about past forum stuff.
