Hi,
May sound a daft question however I have friends telling me not to add this anymore as I have heard nothing.
The details are:
In Feb 2008 at a roundabout the car in front went to set off and stopped and I went into the back of her car at roughly no more then 15mph,did very little damage to her car I/We could see at the time and did a little more to mind that I mended from the scrap yard. Anyway I told my insuarnce company etc and she did hers to which I got a letter saying her car was a write off from her solicitors.I didnt hear anything for a while so rung my insurance company in June 2008 to see what was happening when I was told about the injury claim she was making for whiplash and they would keep in touch etc. Since then I have heard nothing. I have swapped insurance companies and moved addresses.
This is why im confused surley by now it should have all been sorted out and I would have been advised? Is it normal to take this long and do I still need to add this as an unsettled claim at my fault?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks Zombie_people

You do need to divulge this accident on all car insurance applications.
Why not phone your old insurance compnay to find out what is going on?
Did you tell that insurance company when you moved house?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Personal Injury claims can take a looooong time to sort out. I strongly suggest phoning your previous insurer and asking for an update. It may be that they have accepted liability and the 'damage' aspect has been paid for. The Personal Injury claim may well be being handled by an independent agency. I have an ongoing claim from November last year that is on the way to being settled, but is far from over.
Its also really important that you tell your previous insurer you have moved address - repeatedly! I did, and they still managed to send old documentation to my old address...0
