I think if you owed them money still they can still use it against whatever debt was left. I hope someone else comes along to confirm this.

neilfisk - as Marshalka says - if your sequestration meant that they lost money, they are entitled to use your refund to recoup those losses, its the same if you were currently in arrears etc.

If you weren't discharged from your sequestration then any amount left over from paying them off would then be distributed amongst your creditors.

So in effect, it's a win Jim, but not as we know it!

I wouldn't say that to be honest, if you succeed it will help one way or another, if refunded towards the debt this will reduce the balance owed, and also if there is anything remaining afterwards, and interest should be refunded directly to you.;)
