You lot do yours different to mine,I do:
500g of strong flour
350 fluid oz of luke warm water
2 teaspoons of sugar
1+1/2 teaspoons of salt
3 Tablespoons of olive oil (not virgin olive oil)
1 sachet of dried yeast.
I`ve never heard of the powdered milk before, might give it ago next week.
Also I seen on another thread that adding a vitamin C tablet help with the rising?
I think it`s more of trial and error till you reach the perfect bread buns.I cant stand bread made in the breadmaker,I only use it for making my dough.
Mollytrundle< I dont think you`d be able to do them in the breadmaker, have a go and let us all know if it works?Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -

This is only neccessary with wholemeal flour.0 -
How do you make a light dough when using brown flour, which of the ingredients lightens the texture.
Flour, Salt, Sugar, Butter, Water, Yeast.???I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
Because of the bran involved in brown or wholemeal flour, you need to use a little more water than with white doughs. You also need to leave the dough to rise for longer, which is what creates the lighter texture. The more bubbles the better!
So .. not enough water and the dough will be too dry and heavy, not enough rising time and the dough will be wet and heavy.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Thanks poshpaws, I am not sure I can get my bm to delay the cooking time from resting, but I give the extra water a go, cheers.:beer:I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0

If you have different programmes on yours, you may find you've got a "wheat" programme. That will give it the extra rising time.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0

Yes, he's mine. He's called Jonty and he says he's glad to meet you.
Everyone says he's far too pretty to be a boy - but he's truly a devil in a dogsuit. He's done well in his little life, though, as he had a really bad start when before he was a year old he was starved and beaten to within an inch of his life. Thankfully, he found his way to an excellent rescue charity - from where he came to us! :T He keeps my big old greyhound on his toes.
