Ok tis a mission of mercy.
The deal is this you have only the following ingredients
Granulated Sugar
Golden Syrup
Cooking Oil
Evaporated Milk
Dessicated Coconut
Oats
Rice Krispies
Flour
Your challenge is to turn it into a sliceable/holds together slice bar style crispy/bit gooey yummy thing. You have only a microwave and a fridge.
Is it doable? There is no marg or butter.
Please help, there are taste buds and stomachs that will thank you. And the God of Junk Food will reward you in heaven. :A

P.S And yes I have looked in the recipe index so please don't suggest it.

Evaporated milk and coconut, alomst equal quantities til you get a thick sticky thing, then drops or a traybake and bake (would also benefit from a dash oof vanilla and a pinch of salt if you have them) Bake at 170 ish until lightly golden. If you have chocolate you can drizzle over. Oh and don't forget to use baking parchment or greaseproof paper if you have it.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Oops
I would microwave it then, I am game for a laugh:rotfl: Give me ten minutes to dig a recipe out for you, I have something else which might work.

I'd be really grateful. Thanks Jackie it is appreciated:) It seems to be the lack of a solid fat that is the problem but I thought the flour might help. Maybe not.
Come on the rest of you cooking geniuses. Has no one else any ideas?*Make every day Caturday*0 -

No no no there's a microwave flapjack recipe, I would go for using 2/3 the amount of fat as oil. I kind of ran out of time to find what I was looking for but the flapjack recipe is on the GC if you have oats, or make what I suggested as a sort of bounty bar which just needs refrigerating not baking, especially if you've got chocolate..There's also something called fifteens on there, which I am sure are a coconut /milk concoction of some sort. Other option is if you have potatoes (bear with me here) cold mashed potatoes mixed with icing sugar and coated in toasted coconut (which you can do in a dry pan on the hob) - homemade macaroon. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I'd use a 1 pint pyrex jug for this:
Splash of the oil (as you've no butter), with 25g sugar (as you've no caster sugar)
Nuke those until melted/stir.
Add in 4 tablespoons of the syrup. Nuke/stir.
Add about 200g of the oats, stir in well. Chuck in some of the coconut too, 3-4 spoons.
Nuke for 3 minutes.
Remove from oven, spread out into a dish, leave to cool. bung in the fridge.
Should work.
