HTML query - specifying a root directory

I'm designing a new version of our website and want to upload it for a few others to try out. I was planning to put it into a subfolder on our site, but of course it will eventually move up to the root directory. Is there some code I can put at the top of each page to specify the temporary root directory? Or is there another easy way to handle this?

  • Hi Krishna,

I'm not sure what you mean... In terms of how links to external files or includes are called.

Can you not copy the contents of the root folder to a new subfolder and incorporate the links from there without having to code or have you changed the folder structure at all in your new design..?

    Regards

Are you thinking of a <base/> tag ?

That's exactly what I was looking for.
    Many thanks
