Can I Still Get Cashback if I switch with the same supplier?

I am currently with Eon but my bills are quite expensive although online. I went through Moneysupermarket for quotes as there is £30 cashback. I found out that the second cheapest deal (much cheaper than what I am paying) with the better service is the Eon online saver v3. I would like to switch to this through Moneysupermarket so I can get the cashback.

Can anyone tell me if I will be able to do this. My current deal started off cheap but has crept up

Many thanks

i did once a couple of years ago and it paid out but there is a risk of getting your account with cashback site suspended etc

the cash back companies are also getting wise to these sorts of things i think

if it were me i would try ....

The supplier is unlikely to pay out unless you are not currently a customer of theirs.
If the supplier doesn't pay out, the chances are the cashback site won't pay out.

It's a bit easier with comparison sites that pay cashback. If you input the correct existing tariff/supplier details, the comparison site usually says whether you can switch through them and so get cashback.

On the plus side, a switch of supplier usually takes typically about 6 weeks whilst a change in tariff using the same supplier usually occurs immediately. Call your supplier, ask to change tariff and start enjoying cheaper energy today :)
