help me find teh real identity of my new landlord please ???

I need to find out a landlords' real address to verify he's actually real, and not a fake id for a man whos property empire went bust for millions but is now back in business - I've been duped and am concerned that he is a
former bankrupt with bogus ID. Police, council, official receiver, even shelter are not interested, neither are
the land registry.
I ve lived here since birth, and my family owned part of the gardens. Then an accountant took over the affairs of the
remaining owner (95, stroke disabled). Dad was a regualted tenant - we have never
been problemmatic at all, always paid rent on time, but this accountant (who is also a property
developer himself) tried every trick in the book to get dad out (eg said the house was in a demolition area and the
council had told him he could demolish it and put up flats - they hadn't/Said the repairs were
due to my father failing to behave in a tenant like manner - he hadnt/said there wasnt enough
money in the account to cover repairs (there was £2million)]. He 'lost ' our rent book, refused to give us
another and then put everything in the hands of an 'agent', who refused to tell us even information we had a right to
under the landlord and tenant act. Dad died, adn I interited and assured tenancy.
He said he had an LPA for the owner - I asked to see a copy, but was never shown one. Anyway, he didtn tell us the owner had died
and didnt tell companies house for 4 months after she died. He auctioned my home - I didnt bid as
Id paid for cancer chemo, and didnt want to get in debt in the current economic climate, and I appear to have been pushed
out of the fryign pan, into the fire. Iam now stuck in teh same trap - property developers who
know they could make more money if they coudl get me out of the home i was born in. Wrose still though, they have stolen
my garden!
A man X put a note through the door after the auction, stating he was the new owner. On looking him up on the net,
I discover he was only recently discharged from personal bankruptcy and was the subject of a compulsory
liquidation by the official receiver for £2 million until recently with a construction and
development company. Literally 3 days after this was discharged, he was back inthe
auction rooms, buyign up properties with near 100% mortgages!! He si running from a shop in the next town,
owned by his girlfriend. They seem like con artistes - she has spent the year before teh
discharge setting up two investmetns companies a cleaning company and two property companies, all in her
own name. Suddenly, he is the director of them days after the bankruptcy is discharged. She states on her
website for the shop that she donates 10% of her profits to "The 'Cancer Research 'Charity" (there is not one of this
name. I phoned up the shop and she said it was cancer research uk - they told us they have never received a single donation from
her. There are several internet scams running from her address too - of the 'put £5 in an envelope and send it
to the person at the top fo the list ' type. Her accounts on the shop have hardly any
profit on them, and she has also taken out a mortgae for £120K with a man called 'Kellexxx'.
Anyway, nothing was posted on eh land registry until 3 months after the auction. As I said, we owned
part of the garden. To my horror, I got a letter from a conveyancng solicitor in july, syaing the
new owner was 'mr kelle' with a service address, and I was to pay rent into an account number xxx .
There was a cover letter, telling me that i had failed to respond to an earlier letter (which was over
two months previous). TEchnically this meant i was 2 months in arrears (grounds for eviction). I emailed the
solicitor, and told him it looked like a connived way of creating groudns for eviction. He repeartedly
refused to answer emails , and the account number he'd given me to pay the rent inot was incorrect.
A man came round to the house ,banging on the door shouting about 'im the landlord and its about the rent
you owe' - i was out , but oneof my neighbours saw him - he started asking questions about me that were really
invasive, and was offered a pen and paper so he could leave a message and phone number or address
, but for some reason, didnt want to . His car was parked up in the next road too for some reason, despite there
being loads of space out side my home.
The deed at the land registry is an ordnance survey map - it doesnt respect he bits fo the garden we own.
There are 2 servcie addresses listed for 'mr kellexxx' - one i san empty building with no registered owner,
the other is the same address as 'mr x' the former bankrupt and his girlfriend! It says mr Kelle
owns the freehold, but I'm scared they'll try to subordinate my tenancy to a mortgage - all they'll have to do
then is for mr. x to stop paying, then mr. kellexxx can get mandatory grounds for eviction, and they
both have a vacant property AND MY GARDEN!
The land registry sai dthe 'root title' had been exempted by someone shortly after I started asking questions
about the land - it mentions the right lady who sold the house in 1967, BUT she was nto te owner fo the garden then
either! Teh true deeds have 3 signatures on them - grandads, dads and mine - but since the house was never
previously registered, I dont stand a hoot in hell. I cannot afford solictiors fees and no legal aid solicitor is
intersetd in tenants, as its assumed WE are all chavs - they'd rather represent dishonest landlords who they can
make more money out of I've never owned money in my life - he runs up millions fo pounds in debt, the council tax payers in
the next town had to pay to clera up after he went bust, and now he's back, running up mountains of debt again. My home
is worth nothing to him with me in it - if he can get vacant possession, he can slam a mortgage on it , then try a trick
to stop paying it and simply get me evicted, AND I'M NOT ACTUALLY ALLOWED TO EVEN VERIFY HIS PHOTO ID!
For reasons I wont detail, I beleive 'mr kelle' is actually 'mr x' - I think he's got a fake set of id - but no one
appears to have bothered to check his photo id along the line.
I cant find any council tax payers in that end of town with the name of 'mr kellexxx'on the full
listing.
I've contacted the bank of 'mr kellexxx'. I aked for the address they have for him, but heard nothing . I said under
S. 35 of the DPA, I needed it for consideration of legal action, so it was not exempt, but they
have just ignored me.
The police have said in writing they are not interested until someone hits me or an actual
fraud has been committed. I said registering land we bought as their own was fraud, but they
wont listen either. I registered a fraud on the 'fraud action ' website, got a crime number, but I
need to know , is there really no organisation who i can insist provides a REAL ADDRESS for mr. Kellexxx?
Most regulated and assured tenants are elderly - if no one can be bothered to investigate
for me, the level fo fraud in property must be astronomical in this country.
The person who held the original deed was of course the LPA /Accountant for a 95 year old lady - he is registerd for the
DPA, but has just ignored a Subject Access request served months ago, told me the matter is
closed, and refuses to speak at all. He's denied all the phone calls he made to me and dad, though of
course, BT could prove them!

HELP!!!

Sorry, but that's really difficult to trawl through - can you summarise with a timeline? You'll get more responses if it's shorter/clearer for people to follow.

Tell me if this is right.

You have an assured tenancy inherited from your deceased father.

The property has been sold and you have a new landlord, who you suspect is a discharged bankrupt.

You do not have the correct details to pay the rent and you think the new landlord's accountant is now trying to evict you for non-payment of rent.

To complicate things you believe you are a tenant in the property but own the garden, though there are no records or deeds to prove this.

I think this is where you need to start. I would call the information commissioner on Monday morning who will approach the bank regarding thier breach of the DPA .
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Concentrate on good record keeping that demonstrates that you've tried to pay the rent and its been thwarted (if this is what you say is happening) rather than trying to chase a ghost. Are you saying that you are being tricked into arrears because you have not been provided with information on where/who to pay your rent to or have I misunderstood? Do you currently have any rent arrears?

Make sure you send your correspondance in writing (letters, not email), keeping a copy and getting proof of postage/delivery.

Here is some information on how to find a landlord's address, if you do not have this information. This indicates that tenants don't necessarily have the right to the landlord's personal residential address, just an address to send notices to.

    http://www.landlordzone.co.uk/landlord's_address.htm

Why are you making the ID, business affairs and financial status of the landlord and his partner your business and while you feel the landlord is obligated to provide you with photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence? Why do you think you are entitled to access information pertaining to someone else's bank records? ! So what if his former businesses failed and owed money to the local council for council tax - these kind of things are between the business, the tax man and the local council.

Former (discharged) bankrupts are allowed to start up business and the origins of their funding is absolutely no concern to you. Be careful about distinguishing the criminal act of fraud from someone being rotten at business or breaches of civil contracts.

You need to state IN WRITING that you have the rent that has not been paid in an account ready to pay over as soon as you are given instructions on where to pay it.

""Teh true deeds have 3 signatures on them - grandads, dads and mine - but since the house was never
previously registered, I dont stand a hoot in hell""

i was involved in a similar situation a few years back, and there is a complaints procedure with the Land registry to help deal with unregistered land.

if you have original deeds which prove you own the land - then you surely need to register a dispute with the land registry

since you clearly need help with writing succinct letters, why not go to Citizens advice bureau and try to get someone to write to LR for you......

You can also go to your local council Private Rental officer who may be able to write to your landlord on yoru behalf.

Some solicitors do have a free half hour surgery... is there one in your area ?

have you talked to any local journalists who may have more correct information about these people ?
