Hi guys
Just wondering if any of you own one of these? A couple of my cats love ours, but sadly it is well worn in! I need to get a new one, but I am very reluctant to buy one of the cheaper ones just in case it is rubbish and to be honest a couple of my cats are of a large breed so it needs to be robust! The one we currently have I think I paid 20 pounds for in pets at home. However I have seen them for about a fiver. If you own one of the cheaper ones can you tell me how its been? and where you bought it from?
Theres one on ebay identical to my old one for 99p but they won't post it!
Thanks!

Hi we got ours from ebay for under 10 pounds brand new and boxed, imagine it was one of the cheaper types but serves us fine (sturdy and robust) and the cover is machine washable0

Sounds good! Part of the reason my original one is bust is because of me taking the cover off to wash it and the frame has been bent. This because the cover was so hard to get off!0

It was this one that we got ebay item number: 400151863465 (packaging looks mega cheesy I know!)
Cover comes off dead easy. We have 3 cats tho - two of them hate it and the third thinks its the best thing since sliced bread!0 -
Thanks! I had been looking at that one. We have 4, but 2 of them only ever sleep in the same place. The other 2 seem to alternate at the moment so I like to make sure they have plenty of options lol0

I Have some of these-- white 'sheepskin' ones--I was about to put them on Ebay this week, they do have some names on them on a fish shaped lable-- things like "Warm !!!!!" !!
they seem quite strong they will be £10 including postage.Contact me if you want more detailsI might be crazy but I'm not stupid....0 -
I have a cheap one from Argos - I think I paid about £5.99 and although my cats love it I wouldn't reccommend it. The cover slips down off the frame and my one cat who weighs about 5kg has bent the frame quite considerably by jumping up to get into it so now when he gets in it its looks as though he is going to fall out any minute.
I've only had it about 6 months so I think Im going to go for a better quality one next time and hopefully get a bit more use out of it.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I have two of these and I wish I'd spent a bit more. The covers slip off really easily."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Thanks again for the replies!
I have been very lucky and my other half has managed to fix our current one so we have managed to be MSE with it!
I was worried about the covers with the cheap ones as they looked loose. I do try to buy cheaper things and save move, but I always try and watch out for false economy!0
