ok I admit I have only been trying my best to save on bills for the last few weeks but I have just received my first elec bill since I have been doing this and was astounded that it was a whopping 930 units for a 13 week and 6 day period. saddo that i am this averaged out to 9.58 per day.Since I have been monitoring and saving more closely it seems to be about 5-6 per day which would have bought the cost down a bit. I suppose it goes to show how doing all these little things actually does make a difference

Well done - we seem to be consistently using 103 units/per week (14.7/day) so obviously we could do much better! I log my readings on a Tuesday morning. When I had a laundry crisis and ran the tumble drier for 10 2-hour loads it shot up to 125 for that week. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

I had my bill last week and the meter reader had over read the meter by 1000 units (clock type meter) but as the price change came in the middle of the quarter and they proportioned out the gas useage I would be better off to let it rideI used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
