Also just to be pedantic :) from 18 - 14 is actually 4 sizes down. Appreciate that they dont do odd sizes but that should be borne in mind when you read about weight loss per dress size.

Thanks everyone, I've got a pair of size 14 jeans that I'd love to get back into. The thing is, I know what I weighed last time I wore them, and it wasn't that much less than I weigh now...it seems as if my body shape has changed and got fatter, even though the scales haven't changed that much...
I know I was exercising a lot more when I was last wearing them and I'm thinking that must have made a big difference.

Won't put myself under too much pressure - I just thought i'd be better off taking the focus off the scales and more on what dress size I am.

for me it's always been about a stone to drop a size. I am a 16, I want to be a 14. Would LOVE to be a 12, but don't think I'll be able to do it.

What are your plans for losing the weight Isklar?

    Hi flissh.
I'll probably be calorie counting, or Weight Watchers. I know I can lose weight fast, especially off my tummy area, when I do low carb but I seem unable to keep it up for very long, so it seems silly to try it again.

I don't think I'll ever be a 12 again, I'd be happy in size 14's, I reckon my bmi would then be about 26 or 27 which is just a bit overweight..

Over the past 13 months or so, I've lost 7 stone and gone from a 22/24 to a 12/14. So I suppose that's roughly a stone per dress size, but as others have said, it will vary depending on where your weight goes from.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself to lose weight quickly though. Make sure it's sensible eating and sustainable and hopefully it should stay off :)
