£60,000 to invest

Hi, I have £60,000 to invest and am willing to try "high risk" investments for good return (but not something idiotic like forex). Any ideas?
Thanks.

    Why is "forex" idiotic?

On that criteria, we have 50,000 odd conventional options with an unlimited number of variations. You are going to need to narrow it down more.

How much of this £60,000 are you willing to lose on these 'high-risk' investments? All of it? If not, what proportion?

    Funding Circle

I tend to agree. From an email I just received from FC......
It is coming up to nearly a month since Funding Circle launched to the general public on Friday 13th August, and we would like to say thank you to all our members who have helped to contribute to a very successful launch.

We have been pleased with the reaction from the national press with 5 national papers, BBC News, BBC Radio 5 live and a number of other magazines and publications covering our story. Click here to read, watch and listen to some of the coverage.

Some key statistics are set out below:
11 small businesses have fully accepted loans from Funding Circle lenders totalling £317,000
Funded businesses range from environmental consultancies and recyclers, to restaurants and retailers, and manufacturing and engineering companies
Over 1,000 lenders and borrowers have joined, with 20,000 website visits and 210,000 page views
20 loan requests from small businesses have been listed on Funding Circle, with a good number of businesses in the credit underwriting process
Monthly interest rates for borrowers range from 7.4% to 10.7%, compared to the 11-12% rates (excluding fees) currently charged at banks*
~10,000 bids have been placed on loan requests
~500 loan parts have been successfully transferred from one lender to another
Our fantastic cashback offer is still running, so if you are a lender please sign-up soon to take advantage of this great offer.

  • try HERENCIA RESOURCES - HER. Seems to be getting talked about (ramped?) all over but does look interesting. Prefer stuff over a few pennies myself. CADOGAN PETROLEUM CAD should treble your money on very quickly, tremendous fundamentals/balance sheet.

What about buying some land in Brazil. That might be a winner?

Many years ago, there was some scam advert in a national newspaper selling land in Paraguay. You got a lot of swamp for your money.
