Halifax Ultimate Reward Travel Insurance

Hi Everyone

Wondering if someone can help me, I have the above account that includes travel insurance.
You may think I am thick, but I have been caught out on this before, it is worded "what is not covered; any claim over £300.00", we are talking about holiday cash here.

I previously attempted to claim when I lost my wallet in Spain, but the insurance company told me that I was carrying above the insured cash and so was at more risk. I was also told that my police crime ref number was not adequate as I needed a Police report.

Can anyone help me out with this one please. + im new today on here :-)

Just tried to call them, and they are closed weekends, what happens if I need to call them on the weekend, is it okay to wait until they open next as the policy states immediate or within two hours

I had to claim for my holiday once as i was unable to go and i got £400 back..the cost of the holiday so i presume you can claim over £300 but dont take that for fact ;-)

I am finding it difficult to get any info from anywhere online, where are the people that work for Halifax Ultimate Reward when you need them he he. :-)

I have this account and have just had a look in the booklet I was sent (dated Feb 2007, haven't been sent another one AFAIK so assume it's up to date).
There is a page about policy limits and cash is £300 with a £50 excess.
