Hi
Please don't get heated on my account!!
There is a gold range pocket mattress on the Sealy website
http://www.sealy.co.uk/toscana.html
It says that it is posturepedic but is in the 1400 pocket range so it is a bit confusing.
I do not want an inferior bed so, if this could be the case, I'll stick with the one on the Sealy website but companies seems to call the same item by all different names? I just want the best bed that I can afford it can really affect my night's sleep, due to the problems mentioned earlier.0 -

Hmm, that's strange. It wasn't listed on the Gold collection page: http://www.sealy.co.uk/gold-collection.html sorry Alan.
Personally I think any Sealy (or any other member of the Silentnight group) mattress is inferior to most others on the market.0 -
In my search for my bed im after, best advice i can give from my experience at least is ignore the brands and manufacturers info go with specs of the bed only, that way its a bit easier to compare beds.0

That's true. However you often have to dig deep to find all the specs, as many retailers only give very basic ones.0 -
Very true. Bloomin annoys me that. I mean why do you and other sites never put every detail we wana know on their sites. You have some info which alot of others dont but you also dont have everything i wana know either. Dont think any site has all the info.
Wish it was law that they have to list these things also it needs standardizing as its not fair on the public all these scams with naming for their own stores and them large prices they have which most arnt worth it. This is for all stores which i have visited.0 -

Some retailers deliberately give out very little of the spec so that they can compare low spec mattresses to high spec ones, and push the prices up. However most don't publish the whole specification because it would just fill the page up with text that means absolutely nothing to the consumer.
If you want to know more about any model, then just ask them. If they know they will tell you, if they don't then a good retailer will find out, but a poor one will probably try to bluff their way through.
After all would you know anything about the mattress pad, pre compressed polyester, or 800g pollycotton? And if a mattress said that it contained mohair, would you have any idea what amount would be just for a gimmick that served no purpose, and what amount would actually be worthwhile?0
