A letter from Red !
You have been passed to us for collection ! yeah right !
"Pay Now or we will visit you " Please do , our 2 german Shepards love fresh meat ! "We have a copy of your Credit Report " Aye , so do we , interesting reading ! "Our solicitors are ready to proceed with Legal Court action " What ? as opposed to Illegal Court Action ?
Then back to Lowell ! Good Cop , Bad Cop routine ........
"We can help you with this Debt you owe to us " ! , course you will ! NOT !
" Just pay £% and we will write off ....... " we will pay % of nothing !

Have you not had "Letter before Action" yet...What's that mean anyway? If you don't contact us in the next next 7 days we will take further action.... Yep.. thought you might. Does that involve another letter?
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • Is it just a scam then or do you actually owe them money? I hav never heard of them but they sound dodgy

I had the letter before action from Wescot 5 months ago.

    Still waiting

3 months ago I had the letter saying 'We know you still live there and we are going to visit you'

    Still waiting

    and waiting and waiting

It's gone very quiet, it fact lets sell it on quiet.

Oh, and no I don't owe anything to Wescot, there are no debts I am not dealing with, just to set the record straight.
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

All debt collection agency's are dodgy.

The rules never seem to be enforced.

They bully, harass and threaten hoping you will worry yourself into such a panic you will pay up, regarding whether or not you actually owe the debt.

They aren't interested in Is this your debt, they are only interested in you will pay this debt whether it is yours or not.

:think:Well I had a letter yesterday telling me that a " field collector " will visit me within the next 10 days ...... wonder if he takes sugar in his tea :D
  • mandi: I hope you are going to put salt in his tea instead of sugar? And don't use your best table salt either...
  • I've been through the Lowell, Red and also Hamptons Legal amongst others I cannot remember. For the record, the "debts" are not mine; I moved out of the property in question 5 years ago, and it seems they were run up at that address since then. Waiting for the multiple notes of correction to come onto my credit report and see what (if any) difference that makes. I just ignore the letters. The reason I get the letters although not living there is a relative still lives there and forwards the mail to me at my new home....300 odd miles away!!
