Why exactly do you have a "poor credit rating"?

Can you be a little more specific?

How many basic accounts from those in the link above have you tried to open? Or have you been trying for full feature accounts?

Have you actually viewed your credit reports to see what other lenders see when they search your file?
  • Hi there thanks for the reply.i had a barclays account for around 12 months which was recently closed down by barclays due to unpaid direct debits.i went to nat west and was given an account number and sort code but 3 days later i recieved a letter from them saying they could not offer me a basic account,so after that i went to the co-op which was the worst place ive ever been to,considering my wife was given an account after being made bankcrupt.so im sort of running out of ideas.please help me for im just a lil guy trying to get along..(without the help of those bloody banks though).

You had an account for only a year and so many unpaid direct debits that Barclays closed it?Not surprising nobody else wants to give you an account really. Why can't you pay the car insurance on the prepaid card?Alternatively why can't it come out of your wife's account?
