Java not working

I have a laptop running Vista and since going wireless a few weeks back, any website that requires Java will not work. (Just says Error).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, checked things are enabled and just don't know what to try next. Could someone help please . Thanks

Tried too but just came up with same Error message although seems to be installed ok everywhere else when I check programs and the icon does come up in the tray when I try to run it. Any othe ideas are most welcome0

Hey. I managed to fix it!!! I disabled something in the java control panel and it just started working. Stompa - thank you for replying.:D0
