as my daughter has started full time school, after various redials to tax credits to cancel her child care and set up a new one for after school club with a new child care providor, i finally get through [folks having probs getting through just keep on with hitting redial, also someone told me you can look up a different number for them on the say not to 07845 website. wished i knew that before]
have reported my changes. one child [youngest] staying in child care and the eldest leaving the same child cae providor and starting after school club next week.
now, the thing i dont get....they said we are entitled to the 4 week run on. as i work in HB and CTB i understand the 4 week run on rules but dont quite get how they moan about overpaying you yet when youve beenin receipt for the required number of weeks and report a chage straight away they are willing to pay you excess when you dont need it.
ill never understand tax rdits. its appreciated but it feels wrong.

My son has just started a school's nursery so is no longer going to a private one. I rang up TC, and they said my payments would carry on for another 4 weeks. I'd rather not have it, as it's going to mess up my housing benefit claim. I'm going to have to notify the benefits office of this change, then again after the 4 weeks! It's not like the money is disregarded so what's the point?!There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0
