Hi beverley1296,
I'm really sorry for any confusion which has arisen from speaking with my colleague. I'd like to have a look at this and clarify our position.
I would appreciate if you could send me an email to the address in our public profile including your account details. On receipt of this info, I'll be in touch so we can discuss this. Can you also include a link to this thread in your email so that I can refer back to it?
Many thanks

Just had a call from BT explaining the manager did try to call me at 8pm on Friday and went straight to answerphone, WHY he never left a message is beyond me? Anyhow they have retracted and I am now no longer in contract, nice lad on phone could not apologise enough, and it's all sorted.
BT needs to get their act together, how many more elderly disabled and people who cannot stand up for themselves are being held ransom in contracts they NEVER agreed to.
I personally have been a loyal customer for over 30 years and am totally disappointed with them, had they have offered me the offer that they just have recently offered me I would have snatched their hands off just for less hassle, even though sky would still have been cheaper, but after all this hassle I have decided I will move to SKY and give them a chance, at least I will know exactly what I am paying and not be paying anything like £170 a quarter just for free calls and internet connection and line. I shall now be paying £23.50 a month = £70.50 a quarter thats a £400 saving a year, which is fantastic.
Don't be pressurised shop around and good luck to anyone else in my predicament.0 -
I recently phoned BT about changing my broadband package, downgrading, and was put through EVENTUALLY to retentions and offered a cheaper package which i verbally agreed to...but when i got the email confirming it wasnt an 18 month package as promised with 6 months free but a 12 month package..and after 5 hours of phone calls either being passed around or waiting to get through i was told that package wasnt available in my area but then offered me a cheaper 18 month package with 6 months free..delighted i acceptd..yet again when the confirmation email arrived it was a 12 month package with no mention of 6 months free..i was also offered a cheaper deal for my landline but nil confirmation for that..many more calls and told either the chap is new and cant help or retentions offers are seperate and they are not available now to talk to!!!! so havnt a clue what package im on any more !!Tried emailing on site but so far just an automated reply...grrr Since posting this reply bt phoned me after i sent an email to care at bt and she patiently listened to my saga and promises to phone me tomorrow with further details of what my contract now is..hurraaaaaaaay..i await with interest..as to whether i get a phone call and whether she has good news :-)0
