Hi there,
A friend of mine had physiotherapy treatment in December 2006. She paid cash for the course of treatment (3 visits) at that time.
In March 2007 the company sent a letter stating that she had not paid. She contacted them and explained that she had paid, they replied that's ok and that they would get back to her if there's a problem.
The company has now (August 2010) sent her an unpaid bill demand asking for the money and threatening debt recovery action.
Where does she stand with this, she paid cash for the treatment but has no receipt to show for it after 4 years.

Just read elsewhere on here that the giving of receipts is not a legal requirement and at the store/suppliers discretion, although most will do it without asking.
So, a receipt is not required to prove purchase.0
